LawRevise exists because the External LLB is one of the most challenging academic programmes in the world — and the resources available to students studying it independently have never matched that challenge. Until now.
I started the University of London External LLB because it offered something rare: a world-class law degree that could be studied entirely independently, from anywhere in the world. No need to relocate. No campus required. Just the work.
What I didn't expect was how alone that would feel. No seminar groups to compare notes with. No lecturer to ask when a concept wasn't clicking. No tutor available at 11pm before an exam. The materials were rigorous — but the support structure assumed you were already at a UK university.
I spent my first year building my own system: notes calibrated to the marking scheme, attack plans structured around what examiners actually reward, a method for reading past papers not as academic exercises but as scoring opportunities. It worked. But it took a year to figure out, and I knew other students were going through the same painful trial and error.
LawRevise is that system, productised. Everything I built for myself — the notes, the attack plans, the past paper strategy — rebuilt with AI tools layered on top, so students in Lagos, Karachi, Colombo, and everywhere else can walk in on day one with the same advantage I had by the end of year one.
The External LLB is hard. The support for it shouldn't make it harder.
The principles every decision is measured against.
Every note, every attack plan, every AI response is calibrated to the University of London External LLB — not law in general. Generic is not good enough.
We build for students who have no seminar group, no office hours, and no campus. Everything is designed to replace those structures, not assume they exist.
Knowing the law and passing the UOL exam are two different skills. We teach the second: zone A and B strategy, attack plans, and how examiners actually award marks.
Students in Lagos, Karachi, Colombo, and Dubai deserve the same quality of support as students in London. The External LLB is a global programme — this platform should be too.
